In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
- my magazine challenges the forms and conventions of a real student magazine.
- it does this in many ways:
> It challenges real media products in the similarity between the front cover and the contents page. The way i designed them looks very realistic and there is a wider range of information about the topics within the magazine on the contents page
> I also placed pictures and other images on and within my magazine to lure my target audience, which is also similar to what would be done on real magazines.
What have you learned from your audience feedback?
I learned alot from my audience feedback-questionnaire- about what they want and would read about in a student magazine and what would be the best way to lure my audience past the front cover of my magazine and want to buy it.
How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
To create my media product i had to use new technology to construct my student magazine. I had to use a new software that i had only heard of but had never used or seen it in action... Photoshop. In producing this student magazine i have had a good start on learning how to use this software to reach profitable out come for both me and my target audience, pupils and possibly even members of staff. I learnt to crop an picture i had taken and to crop and ajust it to suit the needs i wished it to fill.
Now that i have learned more about photoshop and have had a chance to practice my skills to create a media product i am ready to move on to my main task of creating a music magazine. But if i had to repaet this task again i would have placed the school logo on the house style of my student magazine, this would have made it seem more realistic to my target audience and would make my headlines more catching to the audience eye.
